Praise 201 is a day of classes specifically designed to help believers convert, disciple, and teach others about Christ. The Discipleship Track will show you how to lead someone to Christ, share your testimony and start them on the road to discipleship. The Teaching Track is geared for Church teachers who desire to take their ministry to the next level. This event is free of charge and includes lunch. Please sign up by October 9th. Childcare will be provided, but please let us know you need it on the registration form.
Meet The Instructors
Pastor Tom Turner
Tom Turner has been the Lead Pastor at Praise since 1995, beginning with an initial attendance of just 12 people. Bringing forty years of experience and a vision for reaching families, PT has seen Praise grow into one of the most exciting churches on the Gulf Coast. Pastor Tom has ministered extensively throughout the United States and internationally. He is widely considered an expert in Church leadership, mission’s development and youth ministry. As a Pastor, discipleship is his forte. Pastor Tom has lectured and acted as an adjunct professor in several Universities and Bible Colleges. He holds various degrees in the areas of Bible, Theology and Music from Southeastern University and Life Christian University.
Pastor Brandon & Lori Turner
Brandon and Lori Turner serve as Praise Family’s Generations Pastors. Responsible for ministry to everyone under thirty, hundreds are taught God’s Word each week through their leadership and strategies. Pastor Brandon is known for bringing God’s Word to life in creative ways. His visionary leadership is trusted by scores of teachers, leaders and volunteers. Lori spent a decade as a tenured teacher in the Mobile County Public School System and is a certified educator. She brings unique insight in Christian classroom management and lesson planning. Pastor Brandon and Lori both hold a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Mobile.
Melinda Strickland has a passion to see every believer empowered to win others to Christ. For over thirty years she has served in ministry in various ways, but the greatest highlight in her life was working for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association in Crusade Ministries. During her nine years of service she assisted in various roles to help mobilize the Christian Community for the crusade, which included counseling and follow-up. Untold numbers of converts have been successfully discipled through her efforts and the commonsense strategies she helped develop. She currently leads Praise Family’s Altar Ministry Teams. She is a graduate of Mt. Hebron Ministerial Training.
Pastor Jeremy Patrick
Jeremy Patrick has served at Praise Family Church for almost twenty years with a passion for Jesus. As Connections Pastor he is responsible for many ministries, outreaches, education efforts and volunteers. Abroad he’s preached in multiple countries and as a guest speaker at churches, camps and retreats. Preaching in difficult spots and to various ages is his specialty. He previously was an adjunct Associate Professor of Theology of Biblical Studies at his alma mater, Life Christian University. Among the courses he taught, Homiletics was a student favorite. He holds a Master’s degree in Theology.
