Praise Christian School

Excellence in Homeschooling

ABOUT US

Praise Christian School is a legally authorized Church School in the State of Alabama established for the purpose of acting as a Homeschool Covering. PCS is a part of Praise Education, a ministry of Praise Family Church.

Our philosophy of homeschooling revolves around one word: excellence. Our standards don’t lower just because our learning takes place at home.

We also love the ultimate homeschooling benefit: flexibility. The flexibility to set your own school schedule, to choose the curriculum that best suits your child, to educate your kids according to your Christian beliefs.

If you’ve been considering homeschooling, or are looking for a new covering, we stand ready to help like-minded Christian families.

CURRICULUM

PCS is an open curriculum covering. Any mix of curriculums, online or traditional, may be used. The curriculum must, however, be at the student’s grade level or of a higher grade.

To ensure quality learning, PCS requires that core subjects (Math, Social Studies, English & Science) be from a published (not homemade) curriculum. Parents will have to sign an annual affidavit confirming their curriculum choice. Updates can be made throughout the year in consultation with an academic advisor. Our advisors are teachers who hold degrees in their field.

ALSO AVAILABLE

HSLDA Membership

The Home School Legal Defense Association is a trusted leader that makes homeschooling possible by caring for member families and protecting the future of homeschooling. Receive legal advice for your family, a 24/7 legal helpline and defense if ever needed for as little as $12 per month. While not required to join PCS, HSLDA can be a life saver and put your mind at ease over legal woes. Learn more at hslda.org.

MAP® Growth™ Testing

Lets face it, it can be scary to think your student could be falling behind, or perhaps they seem above average. Want to find out? Check out MAP® Growth™ tests available through homeschoolboss.com.

As a parent, teacher, or tutor you can rest assured that the test your student is taking is up-to-date with current standards and will be able to accurately measure what they have achieved in their studies and provide insight into the areas of a subject on which they need more practice.
